Due to the pre-determined meal selection we do not offer Vegan or Gluten Free Options for this product.

12:30 pm: Check in Essex Station Ticket Window

1:00 pm - 2:30 pm: 

Escape the summer heat by spending an afternoon of indulgence on our air conditioned, beautifully restored 1920s Pullman dining cars. Your trip will begin with a Strawberry Prosecco upon boarding as you settle in for your 1.5 hour excursion through the CT river valley.
Harney and Son's refreshing iced teas will be offered; with Indigo Punch being a fan favorite…. Earthy tones of butterfly pea flower and apple are rounded out with hibiscus, lemongrass and a hint of honey. A classic selection of Harney’s hot teas will also be served.
A traditional tea service with assorted finger sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and petite desserts will be sure to delight.

We invite you to relax and step back in time to a less hurried world, where afternoon tea on the rails was the height of sophistication.


TERMS & CONDITIONS

    • Check In and Train Boarding Essex Station: 12:30 pm
    • Train Departure from Essex Station: 1:00 pm (Trains can not hold for late arriving guests; trains do depart on schedule)
    • $10.00 of each ticket price is a non-refundable, non-transferable processing fee
    • Alcoholic and Non Alcoholic beverages for purchase onboard train. No beverages, especially alcoholic beverages, may be brought aboard the train due to our liquor license

    • Reservations will be assigned to specific tables. If you would like to sit with someone that has made a separate reservation please indicate in the notes section of your reservation. Maximum seats per table available are four.

    • Reservations and payment are required.
    • Tickets are non-refundable, but fully transferable ($10.00 per ticket transfer charge applies) with 48-hours notice. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable for late arriving guests and no show guests .
    • The Valley Railroad reserves the right to alter equipment, schedule, and menu when necessary. This event does operate in all weather.
    Physical tickets will not be mailed or emailed. You will be checked-in upon arrival starting at 12:30 pm.
