It’s 1965. You’ve checked into a glamorous Catskills resort for one last night of summer-style fun before the clock strikes midnight. The cocktails are flowing. The music is playing. The dance floor is calling.
And somewhere between cocktail hour aboard the train, the decked out dining room, and the dance hall, a little mischief is bound to happen…especially when Savage Pianos takes the stage!
ALL ABOARD for a New Year’s Eve like no other:
Your evening begins with cocktails on the train — sip something delicious as you roll through the Connecticut River Valley
Dinner in the beautiful Dickinson Ballroom — but look out! Our Entertainment Director (who is way cooler than Neil Kellerman 😉) may throw some trivia your way, challenge you to a limbo contest, start a group conga line, or otherwise keep you on your toes!
After all, at this resort, you never know what might happen next! But wait - we DO know!
A night of dueling Pianos with Savage Pianos — sing along, request your favorites and prepare for a night of spectacular fun!
Oh yes…and DANCING — because sitting on the sidelines (or in a corner) simply isn’t an option!
Midnight Countdown & Champagne Toast to ring in the new year!
Come dressed to impress - think vintage party or cocktail dresses, resort wear, button-downs, dancing shoes and plenty of retro attitude.
Bring your friends or bring your sweetheart… you’re sure to have a blast!

5:45 pm - 6:00 pm: Check in at the Essex Station Ticket Window
6:00 pm- 7:15 pm: Premium open bar and chef selected passed appetizers aboard train
7:15 pm - 8:40 pm: Seated Dinner Service
9:00 pm-12:00 am: Dueling Pianos with Savage Pianos; Open Bar until 9:30 pm (cash bar to follow)
10:00 pm - 12:30 am: Dessert table / Cash Bar
(Champagne Toast at Midnight Included)
$319 per person (Guests must be 21+)
Please be aware that our food is prepared in a common kitchen and may contain or come into contact with common allergens, such as dairy, eggs, wheat, soybeans, tree nuts, peanuts, fish or shellfish.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
- Check in at Essex Station Ticket Window and Boarding of Train: 5:45 pm
- Train Departure from Essex Station: 6:00 pm (The Train can not hold for late arriving guests; trains do depart on schedule)
- $25.00 of each ticket price is a non-refundable, non-transferable processing fee
- Reservations are non-refundable, but fully transferable ($25.00 per ticket transfer charge applies) with 5 days notice. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable for late arriving guests and no show guests.
- Alcoholic and Non Alcoholic beverages available onboard train and at Essex Station. No beverages, especially alcoholic beverages, may be brought aboard the property including the train due to our liquor license.
- For safety reasons aboard the moving train and to ensure a relaxing ride for all patrons, this event is limited to passengers age 21 and older. No one under 21, including infants, are permitted to attend.
- Reservations and payment are required.
- Meal changes can not be honored within 48 hours of the event.
- This event will operate in all weather. However, The Valley Railroad reserves the right to alter equipment, schedule, and menu when necessary. If the Valley Railroad must cancel the event due to Extreme Weather Conditions, guests will be notified by email by 1pm the day of the event.
Tickets will not be mailed or emailed.
