Eagle Flyer - Your Cabin Fever Reliever!

The Eagle Flyer is a unique 2-1/2 hour eco-excursion in the Connecticut River Valley. Trees stripped of their foliage afford clear views of the surrounding forest and the Connecticut River; wildlife can be observed from the cozy confines of the vintage rail cars. Master Wildlife Conservationists from CT’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) will be on board to share their knowledge of the wildlife that calls the Connecticut River Valley home.

The Eagle Flyer is pulled by our vintage diesel engine and departs from Essex Station. The train will make stops at Deep River, Chester, and Haddam Station to pick up passengers. First Class seating offers individual leather back chairs and cash food and beverage service at your seat. Coach seating offers padded back bench seating and the opportunity to walk to the onboard dining car for food and beverage purchases.
