We invite you to take a front-row seat to the beauty of winter wildlife in the Connecticut River Valley!
Join us this February for a two-hour scenic excursion through the Connecticut River Valley, led by our resident wildlife expert. Along the way, you’ll hear fascinating insights and be alerted to any bird or animal sightings as they appear.
Relax and stay warm in our cozy vintage train cars, bring along your favorite friends and family, and shake off the winter cabin fever with a truly unique experience.

A la carte lunch menu items and cash bar available for purchase during your trip. Selections include but are not limited to chef’s choice sandwiches, soup and mac & cheese

Due to the limited kitchen space and provisions available on the train, no special menu alterations can be accommodated.
Please be aware that our food is prepared in a common kitchen and may contain or come into contact with common allergens, such as dairy, eggs, wheat, soybeans, tree nuts, peanuts, fish or shellfish.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
- Check in at Essex Station & Train Boarding Essex Station: 10:30 am
- Train Departure from Essex Station: 11:00 am (Trains can not hold for late arriving guests; trains do depart on schedule)
- $10.00 of each ticket price is a non-refundable, non-transferable processing fee
- Tickets are non-refundable, but fully transferable ($10.00 per ticket transfer charge applies) with 48-hours notice. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable for late arriving guests and no show guests .
- Food and Beverages are not included in $39.99 per person fare.
- A la carte lunch menu items, Alcoholic and Non Alcoholic beverages for purchase onboard train. No beverages, especially alcoholic beverages, may be brought aboard the train due to our liquor license

Reservations will be assigned to specific tables. If you would like to sit with someone that has made a separate reservation please indicate in the notes section of your reservation. Maximum seats per table are four.
- For safety reasons aboard the moving train and to ensure a relaxing ride for all patrons, all passengers must occupy a seat.
- Reservations and payment are required.

- The Valley Railroad reserves the right to alter equipment, schedule, and menu when necessary. The Eagle Flyer Winter Wildlife Excursion does operate in all weather; however the Company reserves the right to delay, postpone or cancel the excursion in extreme weather.
