Climb aboard the Essex Clipper Dinner Train for an indulgent, cocktail-style tasting experience. Join us for Wine & Chocolate and enjoy a guided sample of 3 carefully selected wines, each paired with a local, artisanally crafted piece of chocolate. As you sip and savor, nosh on a delicate, Mediterranean-style table spread as your excursion strolls along the Connecticut River Valley. The evening concludes on a sweet note, with a chef selected dessert sample alongside a complimentary pour of your favorite wine from the tasting.
A relaxed night of flavor, scenery and elegance- best enjoyed on the rails.
5:00 pm: Check in Essex Station Ticket Window & Boarding of Train
5:30pm-7:00pm:Train Excursion w/ 3 Chocolate & Wine Tastings, Charcuterie, Sorbet and (1) Glass of Wine of your choice selected from the tasting offerings
Please note, dinner is not included or offered with this event
Limited additional beverages are available for purchase aboard the train upon completion of the Tasting and included glass of wine.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
- Check in at Essex Station Ticket Window and Train Boarding: 5:00 pm
- Train Departure from Essex Station: 5:30 pm (Trains can not hold for late arriving guests; trains do depart on schedule)
- $15.00 of each ticket price is a non-refundable, non-transferable processing fee
- Tickets are non-refundable, but fully transferable ($15.00 per ticket transfer charge applies) with 48-hours notice. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable for late arriving guests and no show guests .
- Due to the limited kitchen space and provisions available on the train, no special menu alterations can be accommodated.
- Beverages are not included in $84.99 per person fare (except the 3 wine tastings and 1 glass of wine)
- Alcoholic and Non Alcoholic beverages for purchase onboard train. No beverages, especially alcoholic beverages, may be brought aboard the train due to our liquor license

Reservations will be assigned to specific tables. If you would like to sit with someone that has made a separate reservation please indicate in the notes section of your reservation. Maximum seats per table are four.
- For safety reasons aboard the moving train and to ensure a relaxing ride for all patrons, the Train is limited to passengers age 21 and older. No infants, please.
- Reservations and payment are required.
- The Valley Railroad reserves the right to alter equipment, schedule, and menu when necessary. The Essex Clipper Dinner Train does operate in all weather.
